About me:

Although born in Minnesota, he spent most of his life traveling around the world as an Army dependent for the first 15 years, and then serving the United States for 26 years in the Air Force. In August 2000 he retried for the Air Force finally calling San Antonio home. He has been married to his lovely wife Kandy for 32 years. Their family has grown to include their two sons Matthew and Steven, Matthew's precious wife Amber and their daughter Jessalyn.

Knowing he was called to full time ministry and after retiring from the Air Force he was invited to join the ministry team at First Assembly Of God. Having a gift of communication he started at the place in which he could speak to the most people on a daily basis, that being the church receptionist. Loving to organize and facilitate activities, he stepped into the role of church administrator three years later and now oversees church finances, facility and transportation needs. Because of a specific ministry calling, he is also privileged to pastor the Singles N-Focus and the CLEAR Approach home school ministries.

In 1991 he received an Associates Degree from the Community College of the Air Force in the field of Education and in 2004 completed all requirements for ordination through the Assemblies of God Global University, Berean Division and was ordained in March 2005.

Interests and hobbies:
He enjoys cooking for family and friends, by taking recipes and personalizing them for his own tastes. Also, because of the warm and clear days in San Antonio he's able to spend a lot of time landscaping, working the yard and flowerbeds.

Recently he has spent a great deal of time studying spiritual warfare and the process of fasting. He loves honing his leadership skills as well as teaching leadership and character development.

A scriptural baseline that he endeavors to live by is James 4:8. Which says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
