R. Wayne and Judy Clark - Senior Pastor

About me:

Pastor R. Wayne Clark and Judy Clark have served the Lord as a ministry team for over 35 years. They have pastored churches in Ohio, Vermont, California and currently Texas. Each church they have led has seen healthy growth both spiritually and numerically.

The Clarks have four children Stacy, Donice, Rob and Cory. All four are married and serving God.

Wayne has always been a visionary leader and a team builder. He enjoys working with staff and believes strongly in equipping them and releasing them to effectively serve and minister. He believes that real, true discipleship is a mandate and indispensable part of any church. He also loves kids and teens and relates to them. You do not have to be around long before you notice the "high-fives" flying!

Wayne believes a healthy church is a Missions church that strategically reaches others. This reflects the heart of Christ for a world that so desperately needs Him. Missions is taught and lived first hand at First Assembly. The privilege of being a shepherd to God's people is something Wayne loves. It is God's call on his life to serve and lead the local church to both relevance and effectiveness!

Interests and hobbies:

Authors Wayne enjoys reading are John Maxwell, Max Lucado, and John MacArthur. He enjoys sports of all kinds (as long as he can participate) including fishing, softball and hunting etc.

What is new in the Clark's household? Judy has a new ministry as Chaplain of the Bexar County Family Justice Center. She is now Rev. Judy Clark which has a nice ring to it. God has literally placed her in the path of thousands of people, mostly women, who have been victimized by domestic violence. It is her privilege to lead many of them to salvation in Christ and to help them connect with a local church.
